We asked two of the world’s most prominent football pundits - Gary Neville and Jill Scott - to swap social media accounts to comment on Champions League matches to prove gender bias in football commentary. Unfortunately, the results were as disappointing as they were predictable.
We launched the project at the beginning of the following Champions League season with a video that explained what we’d done.
The experiment sparked a national debate in the UK, with coverage in Sky Sports, The Daily Mail, The Independent, The Sun, The Guardian, The Huffington Post, TalkSport and many more, and also received international coverage in publications like U.S. News and World Report, USA Today, The Toronto Sun, and Corriere della Serra.
